Trump Warns Iran to Accelerate Peace Deal as Regional Conflict Intensifies

(MENAFN) Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Sunday, urging Tehran to quickly accept a peace agreement or face severe consequences, according to reports.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Iran needed to act urgently, warning that continued delay would leave “nothing left” of the country. He wrote: “For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won't be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!”

As stated by reports, the warning comes amid an ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran that began in late February, which has contributed to wider instability across the Middle East and disruptions in global energy markets.

The conflict has reportedly affected maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global oil shipments, while also fueling related violence involving neighboring states, including Lebanon.

Reports indicate that Iran, along with allied groups in the region, has demanded a comprehensive ceasefire arrangement as a precondition for broader negotiations. Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran have stalled, with both sides accusing each other of failing to make meaningful concessions.

According to military and local sources cited in reports, cross-border exchanges have continued, including rocket and missile fire attributed to Hizbollah and retaliatory Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, resulting in further casualties.

The situation reflects continued escalation despite earlier attempts at a ceasefire, with negotiations remaining fragile and sporadic violence persisting across multiple fronts in the region.
