Zelensky Speaks With Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic: 'We Expect Negotiations On Free Trade Zone To Resume'


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the Head of State reported this on Telegram.

"Discussed with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić bilateral relations between our countries. We both believe they should be strong and see potential for their development. In the coming days, the designated representative of the Government of Ukraine – the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration – will be working in Belgrade. We are counting on mutually beneficial agreements, including on resuming negotiations on a free trade area with Serbia," Zelensky wrote.

Zelensky added that Vučić also spoke about his diplomatic agenda for the near future. The two sides agreed to remain in contact.

As Ukrinform previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky updated Ukraine's foreign policy priorities for May and June for the diplomatic corps. Among them are rebooting relations with Hungary and Georgia, opening EU negotiation clusters, and involving Europe in peace negotiations.
