Omnicom Public Relations Names New Ceos For APAC, EMEA And Canada


(MENAFN- PRovoke) NEW YORK - Omnicom Public Relations (OPR) has announced a new regional leadership structure. Effective July 1, Joanne Wong will become CEO, OPR APAC; Hugh Taggart will become CEO, OPR EMEA; and Greg Power will become CEO, OPR Canada.

Taggart was previously CEO, EMEA, of Weber Shandwick, while Power was president and CEO at Weber Shandwick Canada. Wong was previously APAC president of FleishmanHillard.

Reporting into Chris Foster, CEO of OPR, they will oversee all OPR agency brands within their respective regions, working closely with local leadership and drawing support from global agency leaders new structure is designed to offer seamless, integrated support to clients across markets and disciplines, it said.

This announcement follows OPR's recent realignment of its global agency brands under a more simplified portfolio approach. The new model introduces OPR regional and country leadership across select markets outside the U.S. and UK, creating a clearer governance structure and enabling more coordinated, client-centric delivery across its agency portfolio, including Golin, Ketchum, Weber Shandwick and FleishmanHillard.

By showing up as a cohesive, integrated partner, we preserve those distinctive capabilities while ensuring we deliver the seamless experience our clients expect.”

The US and UK will continue to operate under their current agency models and the new regional structure will be implemented in phases, with additional country appointments to be announced in the coming months, it said.

The news comes shortly after it was announced that Weber Shandwick CEO Susan Howe will retire in September after nearly three decades with the firm, with global president Karen Pugliese set to succeed her.

Pugliese will assume the CEO role on Sept. 1, succeeding Howe, who has led the agency since 2024 and spent nearly 30 years at Weber Shandwick in a range of leadership positions.

In tandem, PRovoke Media reported that Weber Shandwick North America CEO and global president Jim O'Leary will be leaving the agency to become CEO of Penta.
