Army Chief Receives Mauritanian Envoy In Amman
Amman, May 18 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti on Monday received Mauritanian Ambassador to Jordan Taleb Mokhtar Cheikh Mohamed Al Moujtaba in Amman.
The meeting covered prospects for enhancing cooperation and coordination between Jordan and Mauritania in military and defence, reflecting the strong bilateral ties and mutual commitment to expanding partnership and collaboration.
Huneiti discussed building on Jordan's longstanding relations with Mauritania, while broadening cooperation and the exchange of expertise in ways that serve shared interests and strengthen joint Arab action across various fields.
The Mauritanian ambassador, in turn, praised the advanced capabilities of the Jordan Armed Forces and Jordan's role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, in promoting regional security, stability and Arab cooperation.
