"At 10:00 today, Ambassador Alexander Zmeyevsky was presented with a strong protest against such threats. Such rhetoric directed at the Czech Republic; Czech entities and our allies is entirely unacceptable," the ministry said.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Petr Macinka, summoned the head of the Russian embassy in response to a statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense and a subsequent comment by Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council and former president Dmitry Medvedev regarding several Czech companies identified as potential targets of Russian attacks.

As reported, last week the Russian Ministry of Defense published a list of companies and enterprises in Europe, Turkey, and Israel allegedly involved in the production of drones and components for Ukraine. The list, which included specific contact details and addresses, named several companies in the Czech Republic, as well as firms in the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Italy, Turkey, and Israel.
The Russian Ministry of Defense "warned" of threats to citizens of these countries due to the presence of such enterprises, after which Medvedev joined in, calling the list "a roster of potential targets."
