Jordan Post Issues Commemorative Stamp Marking Petracolosseum Twinning

Amman, March 25 (Petra) -- Jordan Post Company announced a new issue of commemorative stamps titled "Petra–Colosseum Twinning," which will be released for sale to the public on Thursday morning.
According to a company statement on Wednesday, the issue comes in celebration of the cultural and civilizational ties linking the Jordanian city of Petra and the Colosseum in Rome as two of the world's key historical landmarks and as a reflection of the values of cultural exchange and cooperation between peoples.
The stamp is priced at JD2, while the first-day cover costs JD2.5. A postcard is also available at a price of JD0.25.
Those wishing to obtain the issue can visit the stamp department at the Jordan Post building in Muqablain, next to the Radio and Television building, starting Thursday morning.
