Jordan Announces Partial Closure Of Airspace Amid Regional Tension

Amman, March 2 (KUNA) -- The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) on Monday announced a partial and temporary closure of Jordanian airspace to all inbound, outbound and transit flights, citing ongoing regional developments and a comprehensive risk assessment conducted in accordance with international aviation safety standards.
Chief Commissioner of CARC, Captain Daifallah Alfarajat, said the measure will be implemented daily from 6 p.m. until 9 a.m. the following day, effective Monday evening and until further notice.
He noted that the decision aims to safeguard civil aviation operations and ensure the highest levels of safety and security within Jordanian airspace amid prevailing regional circumstances.
CARC called on passengers to coordinate directly with their respective airlines to verify flight schedules and obtain updates on any changes resulting from the temporary restrictions. (end)
