Nobel Prize Winner Photographed at Epstein’s NY Residence
(MENAFN) Files linked to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein reportedly contain images of Nobel Prize-winning American scientist James Watson, co-discoverer of DNA’s double-helix structure, in the company of women at Epstein’s residence.
According to reports, the photographs show Watson, who passed away last year at age 97, smiling with three young women in a reception area of Epstein’s New York mansion. The timing of the photos is not certain, but they are believed to have been taken in the mid to late 2010s, several years after Epstein’s release from jail on a child-sex offense.
One of the images reportedly depicts Watson with a woman and a paper he had authored concerning cancer and antioxidants.
Watson, along with Francis H.C. Crick, earned international recognition and the 1962 Nobel Prize in Medicine for uncovering the double-helix structure of DNA, which carries genetic information and forms the basis of chromosomes.
Later in his career, Watson became a controversial figure for making claims linking race and intelligence, resulting in his isolation from much of the scientific community and the revocation of several honorary titles in 2019.
Epstein reportedly expressed support for Watson’s discredited views. In 2016, during an email exchange with American academic Noam Chomsky, Epstein claimed without evidence that “the test score gap amongst African Americans is well documented.”
