Svyrydenko Discusses Continued Military Aid To Ukraine With Tusk

The talks also covered ways to accelerate recovery efforts and ensure effective protection of Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

“We are continuing cooperation between our oil and gas companies and also discussed increasing the capacity of interconnectors between our countries,” the Ukrainian Prime Minister said.

She noted that the first shipment of U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Ukraine this year arrived thanks to cooperation between Ukrainian and Polish energy companies. According to Svyrydenko, joint efforts will help increase LNG supply volumes to ensure Ukraine's energy stability during severe frosts and unprecedented Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

Building on Tusk's recent talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Prime Ministers also discussed practical cooperation to develop border and logistics infrastructure, as well as expanding the scale and capacity of transport links between Ukraine and Poland.

Special attention was given to preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which Poland will host this year, as well as preparations for the next meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Polish Commission on Economic Cooperation and a new round of intergovernmental consultations.

Among other topics, the leaders addressed the needs of Ukrainians living in Poland, who have become an important part of Polish society and contribute more than 2.7% of Poland's GDP (according to 2024 data).

Svyrydenko emphasized that Tusk's visit to Kyiv once again demonstrated Poland's solidarity with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, and expressed gratitude to Poland for its support.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Naftogaz recently imported 100 million cubic meters of American LNG from Poland.
