Stronger Oversight Of Military Training Needed Cinc Syrskyi

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukrinform reports, citing the General Staff's press service.

“In January, the enemy's total losses in killed and seriously wounded exceeded 31,700 personnel, which surpassed its ability to replenish manpower. This is the result of combat operations that significantly reduced the enemy's offensive capabilities. And this is a result forged in our training centers. Therefore, we are working to further improve the quality of training,” he said.

Syrskyi heard reports from heads of training centers on the implementation of the recruit adaptation program at training grounds, the organization of air cover for training sites, and the construction and equipping of shelters.

“In addition, we must raise the bar and achieve better results in terms of the level of instructors and their attitude toward their work, as well as the equipment of training centers and ranges, safety, and social and living conditions,” he emphasized.

The Commander-in-Chief tasked officials with strengthening oversight of the condition of training centers and the quality of training both at training facilities and within brigades.

According to him, oversight should include continuing audits of the quality of basic combined-arms training, which have been conducted regularly in training units and combat brigades since last autumn and have already proven effective.

He also reported that a comprehensive examination has been introduced for servicemembers who have recently arrived from training centers. The exam makes it possible to identify skill gaps among mobilized personnel and provide additional training before they carry out combat missions.

At the same time, a system for automating the collection and analysis of feedback is being introduced, which“in particular makes it possible to respond to changes in social and living conditions at training units.” In addition, electronic feedback submission via the Delta information and command system is being tested.

Syrskyi also heard reports from representatives of units sharing their experience in organizing training based on their combat brigades and regiments.

“This time, we listened to commanders and training leaders from the 59th Assault Brigade of Unmanned Systems, the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 79th Air Assault Brigade, and the 425th Assault Regiment 'Skelia.' The role of their instructors who return from combat and immediately train new recruits cannot be overstated,” he added.

The Commander-in-Chief expressed gratitude to everyone who trains and educates Ukrainian soldiers, as well as to all those who conscientiously prepare to carry out combat missions.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Syrskyi said that Ukraine's Defense Forces are increasing their capabilities to counter enemy drones. In particular, there is positive progress in staffing newly created interceptor drone units, additional UAV crews are being trained, and“small-scale air defense” capabilities are being developed.
