Doha, Qatar: The Foreign Ministers of the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkiye, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Arab Republic of Egypt expressed their strong condemnation of the repeated violations by Israel of the ceasefire in Gaza, which have resulted in the killing and wounding of more than a thousand Palestinians.

The ministers affirmed that these practices represent a dangerous escalation that will fuel tensions and undermine efforts to establish calm and consolidate stability, at a time when regional and international parties are joining forces to move forward with the implementation of the second phase of the peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump, and to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

The ministers affirm that the recurrence of these violations constitutes a direct threat to the political process, which would hinder ongoing efforts to create the appropriate conditions for a transition to a more stable phase in the Gaza Strip on both the security and humanitarian levels. The ministers stress the need for full commitment to what will ensure the success of the second phase of the peace plan.

The ministers also called on all parties to fully assume their responsibilities during this critical phase, to exercise maximum restraint, to maintain and ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire, and to refrain from any actions or practices that could undermine current efforts, and to create favourable conditions for moving forward towards early recovery and reconstruction.

The ministers reaffirmed the importance of reaching a just, comprehensive and lasting peace, based on the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state in accordance with international law, relevant Security Council resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
