Tess Parker
- Research Scientist in Climate Variability and Hazards, CSIRO
Tess Parker's expertise lies in the science of weather producing systems, with a particular focus on heat waves and drought, through the examination of the large-scale atmospheric conditions and processes underlying extreme weather.
She is interested in compound weather events, which occur when extreme weather affects more than one area at the same time, or impacts the same location in quick succession. Her research includes the connections between extreme weather and tropical-extratropical or stratosphere-troposphere interactions.
