Doha, Qatar: Qatar is engaged with mediators to reopen the Rafah crossing into Gaza and deliver aid, said a Foreign Ministry official.
Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H E Dr. Majed Al Ansari in a press conference today, January 6, 2026, said that communications are on going to reach the second phase of Gaza ceasefire.
Al Jazeera quoted Al Ansari in a report as he said, "We are working with mediator to ensure we reach the second phase of Gaza ceasefire. We demanded that humanitarian aid is not used as a political blackmail.”
