Lucie Newsome

Dr Lucie Newsome is a senior lecturer in the Business School at the University of New England, Armidale, NSW. She holds a PhD in political science and a Master of Governance and Public Policy from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney. Her research activities focus on the influence of gender in politics, policy and business, particularly agribusiness. She has published in academic journals including Journal of Rural Studies, Gender, Work and Organization, Feminist Economics, Labour History and Australian Journal of Political Science. Formerly, Dr Newsome has held senior policy and project roles in the New South Wales and Queensland Governments.
