He stressed the importance of returning to natural production methods, explaining that Sharjah's focus is on desert-based agriculture rooted in heritage, using original seeds and natural feeding systems. He said the A2A2 cattle breed used at the Mleiha farm is a rare, original breed, and that the animals are raised and treated using healthy, natural practices.
The Ruler of Sharjah reiterated that the emirate's food projects prioritise public health over commercial gain.“We do not seek profit, but health for people,” he said, adding that achieving self-sufficiency in food production is a national objective.
Sheikh Sultan also highlighted other related initiatives, including olive cultivation projects, poultry farming using field-raised breeds, and vegetable production based on original plant varieties, supported by modern agricultural monitoring systems.
Following the opening, Sheikh Sultan toured the dairy factory and farm, where he inspected production lines, packaging facilities, the central control room, milking parlours and animal housing areas. Officials briefed him on production processes, quality control systems and future expansion plans linked to Sharjah's wider food security framework.
