Türkiye’s Stock Market Opens Higher


(MENAFN) Türkiye’s leading stock index began Wednesday’s session at 11,317.01 points, marking an increase of 0.24% or 26.64 points compared to the prior closing level.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 had slipped by 0.18%, ending the day at 11,290.36 points, with a trading turnover of 120.9 billion Turkish liras (equivalent to $2.82 billion).

By 09:55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), foreign exchange rates were recorded at 42.8490 liras against the US dollar, 50.7135 against the euro, and 58.1435 against the British pound.

Meanwhile, the value of gold stood at $4,495.20 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was priced at $62.10 per barrel.
