Negotiating Teams Align Their Positions, Agree On Sequence Of Steps Regarding Security Guarantee Agreements In Florida Umerov
He said that over the past three days in Florida, the Ukrainian delegation held a series of productive and constructive meetings with American and European partners.
The Ukrainian delegation was represented by Umerov and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Andrii Hnatov.
The U.S. delegation was represented by special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as well as White House official Josh Gruenbaum.
Key national security advisers from European countries also joined the discussions to align a common strategic approach among Ukraine, the United States, and Europe.
Read also: Zelensky: Ukrainian negotiators in Florida discuss war-end plans and security timelinesAccording to Umerov, a separate constructive meeting in the U.S.–Ukraine format took place, during which the main focus was on four key documents: continued work on the 20-point plan; alignment of positions on a multilateral framework agreement on security guarantees; alignment of positions on a bilateral security guarantees agreement from the United States; and continued work on the economic development plan (the prosperity plan).
The parties also paid special attention to discussing timelines and the sequence of further steps.
Ukraine remains fully committed to achieving a just and lasting peace.
"Our shared priority is to stop the killing, ensure guaranteed security, and create conditions for Ukraine's recovery, stability, and long-term prosperity," Umerov emphasized.
He stressed that peace must be not only a cessation of hostilities, but also a worthy foundation for a stable future.
"Ukraine highly values the leadership and support of the United States and the continued close coordination with its partners in the next stages of this important work," he concluded.
As Ukrinform reported, according to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, work is ongoing in Florida on documents on ending the war, security guarantees, and reconstruction. Each point is being worked through in detail, there is constructive engagement with the American side, and discussions are also underway on timing and possible timeframes for certain decisions.
