Dr Trudie Walters is a Senior Lecturer at Te Whare Wānaka o Aoraki/Lincoln University. She now has almost a decade of leisure and events research behind her, much of it focused on understanding how and why leisure and events work (or don't work). She uses her research to find ways to improve the social outcomes for participants and local residents, sharing these solutions with organisations and local government decision-makers alike.
