Arab League Pushes For Rapid Support To Palestinians
Cairo: The Arab League has called on the donor group to provide rapid support for the Palestinian people amid the ongoing conditions.
Addressing the meetings of the Palestine Donor Group (PDG) in Brussels, Belgium, Assistant Secretary-General for Palestinian Affairs and the Occupied Arab Territories at the Arab League, Ambassador Faid Mustafa, stressed that providing this kind of support is not solely a humanitarian duty, but rather an investment in regional stability.
This support deepens peace prospects that can never be achieved if oppressive measures, as well as political and economic pressures, persist against the Palestinians, Mustafa highlighted.
Mustafa further stressed that supporting the Palestinian people today is simultaneously a principled, moral, and political position.
He called for a strong message to be conveyed from these meetings, confirming that the international community won't stand idle in the face of measures intended to squeeze the Palestinian economy and strip the government of its legitimate resources.
