M7's Third Edition Of The Edit Begins Tomorrow
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) M7 is set to present the third edition of The Edit, a dynamic retail pop-up running from tomorrow until November 25 at Gallery 2. Organised in collaboration with the Qatar Argentina and Chile 2025 Year of Culture, this year's edition brings a deeper international dimension to the showcase to feature creative voices from Latin America alongside designers from Qatar, the region, and beyond. Curated to highlight creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling, The Edit brings together a diverse selection of over 20 local, regional, and international brands presenting collections across eveningwear, ready-to-wear, accessories, and abayas.
Each brand has been selected for its distinctive narrative, and design perspective, demonstrating the cultural diversity and creative excellence driving Qatar's fashion scene. In a press statement, M7 director Maha Ghanim al-Sulaiti said:“This year's showcase not only celebrates regional craftsmanship but also welcomes global brands shaping the future of fashion in a sustainable, thoughtful, and creative way. We are proud to introduce a fresh line-up of brands to local and international audiences.
Visitors will encounter the work of Argentine designer Valentina Musa, known for transforming garments into expressions of memory, place, and ritual, and Chilean designer Guido Vera, whose approach to luxury foregrounds vegan leather and recycled materials. The pop-up also features the Munay Sisters, whose textile practice blends Andean heritage with contemporary design. This year's edition also features Fashion Trust Arabia alumni, including the work of Indian designers Akhil Nagpal and Ankur Verma, Italian designer Roberta Ventura, as well as Nigerian creatives, and brands nurtured through M7's Global Edit programme. A key highlight of this year's pop-up is the regional debut of British label Marfa Stance in Qatar.
Celebrated internationally for its seasonless, modular, and sustainable outerwear, the brand, along with founder and designer, Georgia Dant will be present at the pop-up to present the limited pieces to celebrate this year's Fashion Trust Arabia. Running in parallel to the retail showcase, the Year of Culture will host a Makers' Space Takeover with the Munay Sisters at M7's state-of-the-art production facilities. Over one week, the duo will experiment with recycled and natural fibres to develop new forms of sustainable yarn, merging traditional Andean weaving with digital fabrication.
The residency will culminate in an Open Studio on November 27, offering the public a chance to experience the designers' creative journey firsthand through live demonstrations, textile samples, and discussions on how heritage and technology can shape the future of sustainable design.
