Bannu: Five Kidnapped PESCO Employees Safely Return Home After Two Months
Two months after being abducted during duty hours from the jurisdiction of Cantt Police Station, the five kidnapped WAPDA PESCO employees have finally been recovered and returned home safely.
Following their release, the workers were brought to the WAPDA Colony, where fellow employees and union representatives warmly welcomed them, garlanded them, and expressed heartfelt joy. WAPDA staff also offered special prayers in gratitude for their safe return.
It may be recalled that the unidentified abductors had demanded a ransom of Rs 12.5 million for the release of the five employees. In response, PESCO workers had launched a fundraising campaign to collect the amount. However, after their return, the recovered employees refrained from speaking to the media.
