Zelensky Signs New Sanctions Against Russian Companies In Arctic, Announces New NSDC Decisions

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Zelensky reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"I have signed several new sanctions decisions. We continue synchronizing partner sanctions within Ukraine's jurisdiction, and the EU's 19th sanctions package against Russia for this war is now in effect in Ukraine. We are also working to extend European Union sanctions into the jurisdictions of other European countries outside the EU. This is a strong package, targeting, in particular, Russian resource exports and schemes for supplying electronic components to Russia. And the overall impact of the 19th package on curbing Russia's income is estimated at no less than tens of billions of euros annually," Zelensky said.

He also stated that Ukraine is imposing new sanctions against Russian entities involved in resource extraction in the Arctic. "We already know that our partners will follow suit by incorporating our proposals into their own sanctions packages. I thank everyone who is helping," he said.

Zelensky instructed to prepare new National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) decisions "based on relevant submissions regarding entities in Russian propaganda and military production, as well as collaborationists."

"We will also issue a sanctions response to Russia's measures against the Prime Minister of Ukraine and other government officials. Of course, unlike global sanctions, Russian sanctions do not pose any real problems. But at a time when the majority of the world is working with us to do everything possible to end this war, any Russian escalation, including propaganda actions, deserves a proper and tangible response," Zelensky noted.

He concluded that Russia must end the war it started and continues, and that concrete steps and substantive diplomacy are needed to achieve this.

As Ukrinform reported, on October 31 President Volodymyr Zelensky published decrees No. 810/2025 and No. 811/2025, which imposed sanctions against 24 individuals and 31 companies from Russia, China, and Iran.

Decree No. 810 introduces sanctions against pro-Russian propagandists: 14 individuals who justify Russia's armed aggression and deny the occupation of Ukrainian territories while being financed by profits from the coal industry in the temporarily occupied Donbas.

Decree No. 811 introduces sanctions against producers and suppliers of the Russian military-industrial complex: 10 individuals and 31 legal entities that are residents of Russia, China, and Iran. Among them are companies and their leaders and owners connected with supplying equipment and components to Russia bypassing sanctions. Sanctions also apply to Iranian state bodies and entities that have supplied Russia with military products.
