Kenya Tourism Board Named Best In Africa At 2025 Balearica Awards
LONDON, Nov 6 (NNN-KBC) - The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) has been crowned the Best Tourism Board in Africa at the 2025 Africa Tourism Awards, also known as the Balearica Awards, held on Nov 1 at the Hilton London Canary Wharf.
KTB emerged top ahead of leading competitors including the Egypt Tourism Authority, Rwanda Development Board, South African Tourism, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, and Instituto do Turismo de Cabo Verde affirming Kenya's position as a continental leader in destination marketing and promotion.
Other winners were the Masai Mara National Reserve, which was named Best Safari Destination, reinforcing Kenya's leadership in African tourism.
Kenya's tourism sector further shone as the Maasai Mara National Reserve was named Best Safari Destination, reaffirming the country's dominance in African wildlife tourism.
The iconic reserve triumphed over globally renowned competitors such as Chobe, Kruger, Serengeti, South Luangwa, and Volcanoes National Parks, thanks to its unmatched wildlife experiences, including the annual wildebeest migration and strong community conservation initiatives.
KTB also earned commendations in several other categories, including Best Tourism Video for its acclaimed campaign“This is the Real Deal,” Best Country Destination, Best City Destination for Nairobi, and Best International Airport for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Speaking after the win, KTB Acting Chief Executive Officer Allan Njoroge said the awards were a testament to Kenya's growing reputation as a sustainable and world-class tourism destination.

The awards were presented on the sidelines of the 2025 World Travel Market (WTM) in London, where KTB led a vibrant Kenyan delegation to showcase the country's diverse tourism products.
