DPS Srinagar Students Shine At 31st National Thang Ta Championship
Srinagar- Delhi Public School Srinagar students showcased impressive performances at the 31st Sub-Junior and Senior National Thang Ta Championship 2025 in Goa from October 28 to 30, with athletes from 26 states across India competing. The DPS students hauled in an impressive medal tally of one gold, two silver, and one bronze.
Leading the contingent with a phenomenal victory, Farjumand Riyaz of Class 6th A secured the coveted gold medal in the Sub-Junior girls' 25kg category. She clinched the title after a decisive and commanding final bout against her opponent from Maharashtra.
Silver medallist Zynah Sartaj Mantoo (Class 7th H) demonstrated incredible tenacity in the Sub-Junior girls' 37kg category, winning three successive matches before a closely contested final against Bihar. Seerat Fatima (Class 6th G) also displayed outstanding prowess, earning her silver in the Sub-Junior girls' 52kg category after two strong victories and a hard-fought final against Assam.
ADVERTISEMENTAdding to the tally, Tabin Peerzada of Class 4th B secured a bronze in the Sub-Junior boys' 25kg category.
The other participants from the school included Onizah Qadri (12th H), Noorain Wani (7th G), Khadija Arfat (6th I), Arhan Ashraf (6th G), and Arsh Bhat (7th B).
