(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, Nov. 6 (Petra) -- Gentle autumn warmth and drifting high clouds will shape the country's weather over the coming days, as mild, pleasant conditions continue through Sunday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
On Thursday, the weather will be moderate in most regions and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Medium and high clouds will stretch across the sky, while southeasterly winds blow at a moderate speed, sometimes picking up dust, especially in desert areas.
Friday will bring a slight dip in temperatures, with mild weather over the highlands and moderate conditions elsewhere. High clouds will continue to drift, and southeasterly winds will stay moderate, occasionally active.
Saturday will see another gentle cooldown, leaving the air fresh and mild across most regions, and moderate around the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High clouds will thicken slightly, with steady southeasterly winds through the day.
By Sunday, soft sunshine and calm skies will carry on the autumn pattern, with pleasant weather across the Kingdom and light southeasterly breezes.
Temperature readings for Thursday show highs and lows of 30 and 15 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 28 and 13 in West Amman, 27 and 14 in the northern highlands, and 26 and 12 in the Sharah highlands.
In desert areas, temperatures will range between 31 and 13 degrees, while the plains are expected to record 31 and 16 degrees. The northern Jordan Valley will see 34 and 17 degrees, compared to 34 and 19 degrees in the southern Jordan Valley.
Around the Dead Sea, temperatures will reach 35 and 18 degrees, and 35 and 17 degrees in Aqaba.
