Ukrinform Completes Documentary Project“Mykolaiv.Recovery” About Restoration Of City's Water Supply

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the Mykolaiv project, Ukrinform shows how the city coped with an unprecedented challenge: life without fresh water. The team visited the homes of Mykolaiv residents who had been collecting water from tanks and queuing at wells for months, as well as sites where the water supply system was being restored step by step.

The heroes of the program are city residents, utility workers, and builders. The footage includes shots of pumping stations, new communications, and water intake facilities. Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Serhiy Sukhomlyn, head of the Recovery Agency, representatives of the city authorities, and the contractor company Avtostrada spoke about the technical solutions and stages of the project's implementation.

As reported, the Recovery Agency has fully completed the construction of the Mykolaiv water pipeline: as of October 7, the centralized supply of fresh water has been restored.

Drinking water disappeared from the taps of Mykolaiv residents on April 12, 2022, due to the Dnipro-Mykolaiv water pipeline being cut off by Russian invaders. Since then, only technical water has been flowing there.

The full episode of the Mykolaiv project will be available on November 6 at 2:00 p.m. on the Ukrinform YouTube channel.
