Catherine Gascoigne
- Macquarie Research Fellow in International Economic Law, Macquarie University
Dr Catherine Gascoigne is a Macquarie Research Fellow at the Law School. Her research is largely concerned with international trade and investment law and their synergies with energy governance and sustainability. Catherine is the author of the book, Causation in the Law of the World Trade Organization: An Econometric Approach (Cambridge University Press 2023), which was awarded an Honourable Mention for the Australian and New Zealand Society of International Law Book Prize 2024. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Civil Law (Dist) from the University of Oxford and a Doctor of Philosophy in Law from the University of Cambridge, where she studied as a Gates Cambridge Scholar and a WM Tapp Scholar.
