(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) Panama: The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama (Impha) announced that this Monday, November 3, the country will experience unstable atmospheric conditions due to the development and strengthening of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, variations in wind flows, and the presence of low pressure systems in both the Pacific and the Caribbean Sea. Added to this is the incursion of tropical wave number 37, located between the eastern end of Cuba, the center of Jamaica and off the coast of Colombia, which is moving west at a speed of 27 km/h. During the day, mostly cloudy skies and precipitation are expected in much of the country.

On the Caribbean slope, rains will be more frequent in northern Veraguas, the Ngäbe-Buglé region and Bocas del Toro during the morning, while in the afternoon and evening isolated showers with electrical activity of light to moderate intensity are expected in sectors of Ngäbe-Buglé, Guna Yala, Colón, northern Veraguas and Bocas del Toro. In the Pacific, rainfall will be concentrated in the morning over Darién, eastern Panama, and the Gulf of Panama, with possible lightning, as well as precipitation over southeastern Azuero, southern Veraguas, and the Coclé mountain range.

During the afternoon and evening, unstable conditions will persist with showers and isolated thunderstorms in northern, central, western, and eastern Panama, as well as in Coclé, Darién, Azuero, Veraguas, Chiriquí, and the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 14°C and 25°C, while maximum temperatures will reach values ​​of 27°C to 31°C. Winds on the Caribbean coast will be from the west in the morning at speeds between 10 and 15 km/h, shifting to the northwest in the afternoon and evening. On the Pacific coast, winds will blow from the west-northwest at 15-20 km/h during the morning, shifting to a northerly direction at 5-10 km/h towards the evening.

Waves and UV-B radiation. Regarding maritime conditions, waves of up to 1.21 meters are expected in the Caribbean and 1.51 meters in the Pacific, both with favorable conditions for navigation and maritime activities. However, caution is advised due to possible changes associated with atmospheric systems. Impha also warned that ultraviolet radiation levels will remain moderate to high throughout the country during the morning and afternoon, so the use of adequate sun protection and avoiding prolonged sun exposure are recommended.

María Cosme, from IMPHA, warned that increased rainfall intensity is expected on Tuesday, November 4th, along the Caribbean coast, due to the atmospheric instability that continues to affect the country. Authorities urged the public to maintain preventative measures and avoid recreational activities in rivers, beaches, and streams, given the risk of flash floods and landslides. Special caution is advised in vulnerable areas, and official weather forecast updates should be followed.
