OIC Voices Solidarity With Quake-Hit Afghanistan

JEDDAH, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Taha expressed Monday the OICآ's solidarity with Afghanistan following the earthquake that hit its northern part early Monday and left multiple casualties.
In a press statement, Taha appealed to OIC Member States and humanitarian institutions to provide aid to those affected by the disaster.
The OIC chief also directed the OIC Office in Afghanistan to coordinate with the relevant authorities to assess the needs on the ground and work with OIC humanitarian institutions and partners to deliver the necessary support to the victims. (end)
