 China successfully deploys new remote sensing satellite
(MENAFN) China successfully placed a new remote sensing satellite, Yaogan-46, into orbit on Monday from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in Hainan province.
The satellite was launched at 11:47 a.m. (0347 GMT) aboard a Long March-7 carrier rocket and reached its designated orbit, according to reports.
Designed for disaster prevention, land surveys, hydrology, meteorology, and other applications, Yaogan-46 adds to China’s growing fleet of Earth observation satellites.
The mission marked the 605th flight in the Long March rocket series.
