Number Of Russian Attacks On Chernihiv Region Significantly Increases Demchenko
“Shelling has not decreased: The enemy, on the contrary, is increasing the number of its attacks by various means along Ukraine's border areas within the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. Recently, the number of attacks on the Chernihiv region has risen significantly, since earlier the majority of attacks occurred within the Sumy and Kharkiv regions,” he said.
According to Demchenko, this year the Russians have significantly intensified the use of drones - in particular, they are deploying unmanned aerial vehicles to drop munitions, as well as using fiber-optic and FPV drones.
At the same time, the spokesperson noted that enemy activity has somewhat decreased lately in the Vovchansk sector, where defense lines are held by border guard units, among others. However, Russian forces continue their attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory.
“The most difficult situation remains in the Kupiansk sector. The enemy continues assault operations with infantry groups. This also applies to the Lyman and Pokrovsk sectors. In the latter two, the enemy periodically uses armored vehicles, attempting to carry out assault actions on a larger scale,” he reported.
