“A Comprehensive Collection Of Ancient Chinese Paintings” Book Donation Ceremony And The“Liangzhu: A Dialogue Across World Civilizations” Activity Successfully Reaches Brazil And Chile
At the event held in the University of São Paulo, Brazilian national treasure soprano singer Marília Vargas opened the ceremony with the Chinese song“I Love You, China.” Zhejiang University donated“A Comprehensive Collection of Ancient Chinese Paintings” to the University of São Paulo; Zhejiang Media Group and the Brazil-China Friendship Association signed a memorandum of cooperation, laying the foundation for subsequent cultural communication and cooperation. At the scene, young representatives from China and Brazil exchanged their gifts. Brazilian young students were awarded the“Liangzhu Promoters” certificates, starting to undertake the new mission of promoting Liangzhu civilization and facilitating China-Brazil friendship.
To memory the 55th anniversary of the establishment between China and Chile, the cultural center ofs University of Chile also held a series of similar activities. Zhejiang University donated books to the University of Santiago; Zhejiang Media Group and the China-Chile Cultural and Art Center signed a memorandum of cooperation to further consolidate the foundation for cultural exchanges between China and Chile. Chilean students actively participated in interactive sections such as Liangzhu culture experience, Cueca dance flash mob performance, and“Global Co-creation of a Single Painting,” jointly depicting a vivid scene of the integration of China-Chile civilizations in a relaxing atmosphere.
Chinese and foreign representatives consistently reported that this series of activities had built a crucial cultural exchange platform for young people. They looked forward to taking the“A Comprehensive Collection of Ancient Chinese Paintings” and Liangzhu civilization as a bridge to deepen the cooperation in the fields of art, education, and culture, and promote civilizational exchange and people-to-people bonds.
“A Comprehensive Collection of Ancient Chinese Paintings,” compiled by Zhejiang University and Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau over two decades, includes 12,000 ancient painting collections from 263 cultural and museum institutions at home and abroad. It is the most comprehensive and largest-scale pictorial document of Chinese paintings ever published in its category. During the event, civilization dialogue salons, the Liangzhu Civilization Thematic Exhibition, and the“A Comprehensive Collection of Ancient Chinese Paintings – Song Dynasty Paintings Exhibition (Chile)” were also held, which presented the multi-dimensional and unique charm of“A Comprehensive Collection of Ancient Chinese Paintings” and the profound heritage of Liangzhu civilization. These not only deepened the understanding of Brazilian and Chilean people about traditional Chinese culture, but also injected new dynamics in to the civilizational exchange between China and Latin America.
