Qatar And UN Explore Joint Efforts To Safeguard Children In Conflict Zones
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif al-Thani met with UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, Vanessa Frazier, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission in New York.
Discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing co-operation between Qatar and the Office of the Special Representative in the field of protecting children affected by armed conflict.
The two sides also reviewed ways to support joint initiatives aimed at ensuring a safer and more stable environment for children worldwide.
