Loom Solar To Launch New 1.2 GW Renewable Manufacturing Facility In Uttar Pradesh
The announcement was made during the Renewable Energy India (REI) 2025 Expo on Thursday.
According to the company, the new facility will be dedicated to next-generation innovations such as Heterojunction (HJT) solar cell technology, regarded among the most efficient solar technologies globally.
The plant is expected to strengthen India's domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem and contribute to the country's renewable energy goals.
“As India transitions to cleaner energy, our focus remains on developing advanced solar, inverter, and storage solutions that make power accessible, reliable, and future-ready for homes, businesses, and industries alike,” said Amod Anand, Co-Founder and Director, Loom Solar, according to ET.
Anand added that the upcoming 1.2 GW facility, coupled with the company's focus on battery energy storage systems (BESS) and inverter manufacturing, reflects more than just increased capacity - it represents a strategic pathway toward achieving India's clean energy self-reliance.
The company also plans to expand its presence in the developer segment by supplying high-efficiency modules, inverters, and storage systems for large-scale renewable projects under the PM-KUSUM Scheme, targeting installations of 1 MW and above.
