Rheinmetall's U.S. Subsidiary To Help Accelerate Repairs Of Damaged Bradley Vehicles For Ukraine

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The company announced this on its website, according to Ukrinform.

The project will develop and demonstrate advanced processes and tools for quickly assessing and repairing damaged Bradley vehicles used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This will allow them to return to service faster, the press release states.

The 18-month program is expected to conclude in March 2027, when the first repaired Bradley vehicles are projected to be delivered.

Rheinmetall will develop and demonstrate cutting-edge damage assessment and repair processes by creating an advanced service center for evaluating and fixing damaged or broken Bradleys closer to operational zones. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between battlefield damage and full depot-level repair, ensuring quick and efficient restoration of combat readiness before the arrival of new parts or specialized repair teams.

After development, the program will test a scalable approach to setting up remote damage assessment and repair facilities capable of operating in dangerous or harsh environments. The result will be reduced downtime, improved readiness, and strengthened resilience of heavy equipment and infrastructure.

As Ukrinform reported, the German defense group is one of Ukraine's key partners in weapons production and repair. Since June 2024, it has operated a joint venture with Ukraine's state-owned Ukroboronprom.
