It is important that China contribute to efforts aimed at stopping Russia's ongoing attempts to expand and prolong the war," Zelensky said.

He added that "our diplomats will receive relevant instructions based on information from recent meetings in the region."

As Ukrinform reported earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping held their first bilateral meeting since Trump's return to the White House in South Korea on October 30. The talks began at 04:00 Kyiv time and lasted for one hour and forty minutes. While Trump and Xi were discussing ways to achieve peace in Ukraine, Russia launched a massive combined missile and drone attack on Ukrainian cities.
