Joshua Anbar

Dr. Joshua Anbar is a clinical assistant professor in healthcare administration and policy. Dr. Anbar is interested in how young people with autism transition to adulthood, with a particular focus on the role of higher education in that transition process. Currently, Dr. Anbar is leading a public health surveillance effort to track the prevalence of autism in Arizona.
Dr. Anbar also has a passion for studying healthcare reform and the role that policy plays in promoting positive health outcomes, especially among populations experiencing disability. Prior to coming to ASU, Dr. Anbar was a postdoctoral researcher at the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center where he studied the role of telehealth in diagnosing autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Anbar completed his doctoral studies at the University of Arizona, where he was nominated to the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health. Dr. Anbar has also earned degrees from the State University of New York (SUNY) University at Buffalo, SUNY Upstate Medical University, and Syracuse University.
