Türkiye Condemns Continued Strikes on Gaza Despite Ceasefire

(MENAFN) The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday that Israel’s assaults on the Gaza Strip represent a blatant breach of the ceasefire reached earlier this month.

Ankara expressed serious concern over reports of civilian deaths caused by these operations.

The ministry emphasized the necessity for complete adherence to the ceasefire in order to safeguard the prospects of enduring peace and to promote stability in the region.

The statement urged Tel Aviv to respect the truce and avoid measures that could destabilize the situation or hinder peace efforts.

Türkiye reaffirmed its support for the Palestinian population and pledged to continue backing initiatives aimed at achieving a "just, lasting, and comprehensive peace" across the region, according to the ministry.

On Tuesday, the Israeli military conducted multiple air and artillery attacks throughout the Gaza Strip.

These actions were carried out following directives from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to implement "forceful" strikes in response to alleged ceasefire violations by Hamas.
