Corps Commander Peshawar, KP Chief Minister Discuss Security, Development Plans
Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Umar Ahmad Bukhari held a one-on-one meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi at the Chief Minister's Secretariat to review the province's overall security situation, official sources confirmed on Friday.
According to media reports, the meeting took place on Friday and focused on ongoing counterterrorism measures, the performance of law enforcement agencies, and the formulation of a comprehensive security strategy for the coming months.
Both sides also discussed progress on development projects in the merged tribal districts and stressed the importance of their timely completion.

He emphasized that a joint and coordinated strategy was essential for the complete elimination of terrorism and the restoration of long-term stability.
Sources said the Chief Minister later convened a meeting of the Apex Committee the following day to review the progress on decisions taken regarding law and order and to finalise further measures to strengthen security coordination across the province.
