Maria Småberg is PhD in History and works as Associate Director of Studies, National Graduate School of History and Senior Lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies. She is also currently a research associate at CMES, working on completing a book on witnessreporting and humanitarian work during the 1915 Armenian Genocide.
Her main research interests include gender; war and peace; humanitarianism and cosmopolitan care ethics; the Armenian Genocide and witness narratives; the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and conflict transformation; interfaith dialogue, friendship and peacebuilding; peace education and interculturalism; missionary history and postcolonial theory.
