Amman, October 2 (Petra) -- Representative of the ICT sector at Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Haitham Rawajbeh, praised Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II for his proactive leadership on cybersecurity. During his review of the National Cybersecurity Strategy (2025–2028) at the National Cybersecurity Center, the Crown Prince demonstrated a clear commitment to strengthening Jordan's digital defenses.
Rawajbeh highlighted that this focused attention signals a forward-thinking vision to build a trustworthy digital infrastructure that safeguards national interests and boosts confidence among both institutions and citizens.
He underscored that prioritizing workforce development and raising public awareness are key to preparing Jordan to face evolving cyber threats, especially in critical areas like water, energy, and healthcare.
The Crown Prince's involvement serves as a strong motivator for the private sector, particularly telecom and IT companies, to deepen collaboration with government bodies and help establish Jordan as a leading cybersecurity hub in the region.
Rawajbeh also noted the vital role of the National Cybersecurity Center in defending public and private sectors from cyber risks by setting policies, coordinating efforts, and ensuring the resilience of essential services and data protection.
The strategy focuses on four pillars: securing the digital environment, governance and regulation, capacity building, and fostering partnerships.
