GAC Unveils 'Customs Documents' System
Doha: Chairman of the General Authority of Customs (GAC) H E Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, inaugurated the new 'Customs Documents' system, aimed at automating archiving processes and establishing a unified central database for customs documents related to international cooperation procedures.
The system also encompasses the Authority's participation in regional and international meetings, as well as the presentation of customs agreements and memorandums of understanding.
In a statement issued yesterday, GAC said the system leverages artificial intelligence to analyse document content, enhancing operational efficiency and streamlining access to information. It also strengthens data protection and confidentiality in line with the highest applicable standards.
The platform introduces advanced mechanisms for information exchange and effective collaboration across GAC's departments, contributing to a flexible and modern work environment. It supports Qatar's broader digital transformation efforts and aligns with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
