Gaza Genocide: Israeli Bombardment Kills Over 66,000 Civilians

(MENAFN) At least 66,055 Palestinians have lost their lives in the ongoing Israeli genocidal campaign against the Gaza Strip, according to the Health Ministry on Monday.

The ministry's statement revealed that 50 bodies were delivered to hospitals within the past 24 hours, while 184 more individuals sustained injuries, bringing the total number of wounded to 168,346 as a result of the relentless Israeli bombardment.

"Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them," the statement added.

Furthermore, the ministry confirmed that five Palestinians were killed, and 48 others were injured by Israeli army gunfire while attempting to access humanitarian aid during the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking assistance to 2,571, with over 18,817 others wounded since May 27.

The Israeli military resumed its offensive against Gaza on March 18, resulting in 13,187 deaths and 56,305 injuries, violating a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement reached in January.

In related developments, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants in November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel is also facing a case of genocide at the International Court of Justice concerning its actions in the Gaza enclave.
