Amb. Al-Shemali Meets Kuwaiti Paralympic Team In New Delhi

NEW DELHI, Sept 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ambassador to India Mishal Al-Shemali met on Monday with the Kuwaiti Paralympic team, which arrived in the Indian capital to participate in the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships, taking place from September 22 to October 5.
The Kuwait delegation, led by Nasser Al-Ajmi, includes athletes Nasser Hamoud Faraj and Faisal Mubarak Surour, who will compete in track and field events.
In a statement to KUNA, Ambassador Al-Shemali said that the participation of Kuwaiti athletes with disabilities in the World Para Athletics Championships is a prime example of the willpower and determination of the Kuwaiti people, and their genuine desire to raise the flag of their country high at all international sporting events.
The Ambassador emphasized that he observed a strong determination among the Kuwait athletes to achieve success at this global sporting event and represent Kuwait with pride. He wished the team all the best and success in their participation and in representing Kuwait admirably.
India is hosting the 12th edition of the World Para Athletics Championships at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, with more than 1,000 athletes with disabilities from around the world competing in over 160 track and field events. (end)
