Fayetteville, NC - The City of Fayetteville is officially welcoming a new era of professional basketball as the Fayetteville Liberty, a franchise of The Basketball League (TBL), prepares to launch its inaugural season in March 2026.

A Team for the City, By the City

Led by Team Market Owner Robert L. Edwards Jr., the Fayetteville Liberty will play their home games at the Crown Complex Arena, competing against teams across the country in The Basketball League. Press Conference & Season Preparation

The Fayetteville Liberty will host their official press conference on December 12, 2025 at the Crown Complex Arena to formally introduce the team, announce key partners, and share the vision for the 2026 inaugural season.

Following the press conference, the team will hold its final player combine and flagship tryout on December 13, 2025, where players will compete for roster spots ahead of training camp. The finalized roster will take the court in March 2026 for the start of the Liberty's first TBL season.
