Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met on September 24 with Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. The two leaders reaffirmed the strength and stability of the U.S.-Singapore strategic partnership and discussed cooperation on defense and security topics, as well as collaboration on energy, technology, and commercial issues. They both noted that economic cooperation and strengthened bilateral security ties benefits Americans, Singaporeans, and others across the region.
