Kyslytsya: Hoping That Putin's Physical Disappearance Will Turn Russia Into Peaceful Country Is Irresponsible

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This opinion was stated by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serhiy Kyslytsya in an interview with Ukrinform.

“Those who hope that Putin's physical disappearance is the answer to all our problems are deeply mistaken. Putinism is so deeply rooted that it is completely irresponsible to hope that Putin will disappear and Russia will somehow miraculously turn into a peaceful democratic country,” the diplomat said.

He also warned of a certain threat of a scenario in which, after Putin,“some people and even governments” in the West may agree to cooperate with new Russian officials who claim to“have nothing to do with Putin's policies.”

At the same time, Kyslytsya stressed that the situation is already different from that in 1991:“There is no unanimous desire to work with anyone in Moscow, in case something happens.”

According to Russian propaganda media, based on data from the Russia Public Opinion Research Center, as of the end of summer 2025, 80.2% of Russians trust Putin.
