Kuwait Coast Guard Celebrate World Maritime Day

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- Directorate General of the Coast Guard on Thursday celebrated the World Maritime Day at headquarters of the Maritime Department in Al-Ardiya.
The Ministry of Interior said in a press statement the ceremony was held to mark the international occasion, held annually under umbrella of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
It was attended by the Director General of Kuwait Coast Guard Commodore Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yusuf Al-Sabah and representatives of government departments.
In an address during the ceremony, Sheikh Mubarak affirmed the commitment to protecting Kuwait's territorial waters, boosting the marine security and efficiency in this vital sector. (end)
