QFFD, UNHCR Sign $5M Agreement For Rehabilitation Of Housing, Infrastructure In Ukraine
Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signed on Thursday a US$5 million contribution agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to support the repair and rehabilitation of housing and critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
Chairperson of the Board of Directors of QFFD, H E Sheikh Thani bin Hamad Al Thani, witnessed the signing ceremony, and the agreement was formalised by the Director General of QFFD, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of QFFD, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to alleviating human suffering and fostering stability by supporting recovery efforts that will improve living conditions for more than 4,000 affected people in Ukraine.
