Pres. Trump Promises Arab Leaders To End Gaza War

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- US President Donald J. Trump met several Arab and Muslim leaders on Tuesday on the fringes of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly to discuss ways to end the war on Gaza Strip and free the hostages there.
The meeting gathered leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Jordan.
President Trump said this was the most important meeting he had today, noting that this group of leaders could make headway in ending Gaza war and releasing the captives better than any other group.
He promised to discuss with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu how to put an end to that war and release the captive, noting that 20 of them are alive and 38 dead bodies were held by Hamas.
President Trump affirmed that life in the Middle East would be better if there were no wars.
On his part, Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said he pinned high hopes on President Trump using his good offices in putting an end to the war on Gaza and the suffering of the residents there. (end)
